Mr. Sawyer, since his separation as an officer from the United States Marine Corps, has developed a strong and successful executive leadership track record in the Oil and Gas Industry and on Wall Street. Hayward has broad experience in the development and management of substantial businesses in driving global strategies for significant domestic and international corporations such as Apache Corporation, Prudential Financial, Allianz Life, American Skandia Life Assurance. He has an international reputation for building highly successful distribution and service organizations and cross-functional management teams. Hayward also has strategic acquisitions experience in Financial, Real Estate and Oil & Gas industries. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Alpha Oilfield Services. While focused on the financial services markets, Hayward’s experiences include financing Oil and Gas exploration and secondary and tertiary recovery (U.S., Umm al-Quwain of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Aramco) with both public and privately held companies. He has managed highly complicated business transactions globally, including significant infrastructure investment opportunities throughout North America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Hayward graduated from Southern Nazarene University (Oklahoma) with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was later commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant at the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School. Following graduation from Officers Candidate School (OCS) and Officers Basic School (TBS) , he served as a Infantry Platoon Commander in Vietnam where he received numerous honors for his service. Towards the end of his tour in Vietnam he was selected as Aide-de-Camp for Major General E.B. Wheeler and received a meritorious regular commission for his service while in Vietnam . He was honorably released from the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Captain.
Hayward plays an active role in the following organizations: United States Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Sovereign Military Order of Purple Heart (lifetime), Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem (Knights Templar), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Board Member and Executive Committee Member of Higher Ground Sun Valley (Sun Valley, Idaho), Board Member R4 Alliance, USA Luge Federation Trustee and Chair of Fund Raising Committee, Board Member Guard a Heart Foundation and former member of the 2002 United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation Team (Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Trials; four-man bobsled).
